About the role
Retell AI is using first-principles thinking to reimagine the call center with cutting-edge voice AI. In this role, you will architect and deliver the user experiences that define how enterprises interact with AI-powered call centers. You will own the frontend architecture for critical products that manage prompts, monitor analytics, and drive customer interactions for some of the largest names in voice AI. Your work will directly support high-stakes use cases in sales, support, and logistics automation. You will translate complex requirements into intuitive, responsive, and production-ready interfaces. This position is for a builder who wants to move fast and ship impactful features at scale.

What you'll do
- Design and build core UI features such as prompt management, dashboards, and analytics tools that power enterprise voice workflows.
- Develop responsive, intuitive interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS while maintaining strict JavaScript standards.
- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to integrate frontend services into scalable and reliable systems.
- Lead frontend projects from initial concept through launch, taking ownership of architecture, implementation, and iterative improvements.
- Work directly with customers during onboarding and debugging sessions to surface real-world challenges and drive UX enhancements.
- Translate customer feedback and product requirements into precise frontend specifications and interactive prototypes.
- Optimize application performance for high-traffic scenarios, ensuring fast load times and smooth user interactions.
- Partner with designers to refine visual systems and ensure consistency across a growing suite of products.
- Implement accessible and international-friendly interfaces that support diverse enterprise users.
- Contribute to internal tools that improve developer velocity and frontend team collaboration.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Bring 2+ years of experience building production-grade applications with React and TypeScript in a professional setting.
- Demonstrate strong ownership by acting like a founder and solving problems with clean, maintainable design thinking.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments by quickly learning new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, balancing clarity and momentum in small, dynamic groups.

2. First Technical Phone Interview (60min)

4. Second Technical Interview (60min)
- Dive deeper into implementation details, trade-offs, and how you approach real-world constraints.
5. Final Round (45min)
- Meet with senior leadership to align on vision, ownership, and long-term impact.
INTERVIEW DETAILS
First technical phone interview will focus on your experience with React, state management, and writing clean, testable JavaScript. Expect to discuss how you approach debugging, performance, and scalability in production applications. For the take-home assignment, you will be asked to implement a feature similar to prompt management or analytics UI using a provided codebase. During the final round, you will review your work with senior engineers and product managers, explaining your decisions and trade-offs.
