About the role
Replit is seeking a Workplace Experience Manager to own the end to end operations of our physical offices and the employee experience within them. You will be the operational backbone that ensures our workspaces are safe, clean, efficient, and inspiring for everyone who walks through the door. This role demands a hands on leader who builds systems from scratch where none exist and optimizes every process that already does. You will manage the full lifecycle of office events, from concept to execution, while coordinating closely with vendors, landlords, and internal teams. The position requires a proactive mindset that anticipates needs and solves problems before they arise. You will also extend your support to smaller regional locations to maintain a consistent and high quality experience for all Replit team members.

What you'll do
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure a clean, safe, and productive environment for all employees and visitors at the primary site.
- Act as the primary point of contact for building management and landlords, handling communication, access issues, maintenance requests, and compliance matters.
- Develop, document, and maintain workplace policies, procedures, and operational documentation to create consistency and clarity.
- Partner with internal stakeholders in People, Sales, and Leadership to plan and execute year round in-office events such as team offsites, community meetups, celebrations, all-hands, and external guest visits.
- Manage event logistics comprehensively including space planning, A/V coordination, catering selection, and vendor oversight to ensure flawless execution.
- Oversee daily Food and Beverage operations, managing snacks, beverages, catered meals, and special event catering with attention to quality and budget.
- Analyze usage patterns, manage budgets, and optimize workplace programs to drive employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Support workspace planning initiatives, including seating arrangements, space optimization, and forecasting future layout needs as the company scales.
- Provide MAC experience by leading office moves, expansions, and reconfigurations, handling everything from vendor selection to day of coordination.
- Collaborate with IT and People Ops to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for employees regarding workspace and access needs.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors across facilities, F&B, cleaning, office supplies, security, and other workplace services.
- Monitor service levels, track budgets, and review contract terms to ensure high performance, accountability, and cost effectiveness over time.
Requirements
- Possess 7+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or facilities roles within a startup or similarly fast paced environment.
- Bring 7+ years of demonstrated expertise in event planning and execution for small to large scale corporate events.
- Have direct experience managing Food and Beverage programs, including vendor evaluation, budgeting, and procurement activities.
- Hold proven experience coordinating with landlords and building management to resolve facilities related issues.
- Show a documented track record of vendor sourcing, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management across multiple service categories.
- Exhibit strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and execute quickly even with limited direction.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with clarity, professionalism, and attention to detail in all interactions.
- Comfortably operate with ambiguity, taking a proactive and solutions oriented approach while anticipating operational needs before they escalate.
- Commit to working on site 5 days per week and supporting occasional early or late hours to ensure the success of workplace events.
- Demonstrate experience supporting regional offices in international locations, understanding that this may involve coordination across time zones and local regulations.
Nice to have
- Show familiarity with workplace software such as Envoy, Notion, Asana, or similar tools to streamline operations and reporting.
- Demonstrate experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and automate routine workplace tasks.
- Have a background supporting hybrid or distributed teams, with strategies to maintain cohesion across locations.
- Possess experience overseeing workplace budgets, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization.
- Hold a passion for Replit's mission and a solid understanding of startup culture, developer tools, or community centric tech companies.
- Show the ability to create scalable processes and documentation from scratch, establishing standards that can scale as the company grows.
Practical notes
The role requires on site presence in New York City, with availability for occasional extended hours during major events or move windows. There may be travel required to support regional offices or event venues as needed. Employment is contingent on eligibility to work in the United States, and sponsorship is not offered for this position.
