Staff Propulsion Engineer, Engine Systems & Test
Job description
Space.
About the role
This position involves managing engine system architecture and concept of operations for the Terran R vehicle. You will drive technical trades, negotiate engine interfaces, and oversee development cycles while applying deep technical expertise to complex propulsion challenges. The role requires ownership of system-level decisions that impact vehicle performance and mission success. You will act as a technical leader in defining how propulsion systems integrate with the broader vehicle architecture. Your work will directly influence the reliability and efficiency of engine operations during critical mission phases. You will evaluate multiple design pathways and select solutions that balance risk, performance, and schedule. This position demands rigorous analysis and clear communication across multidisciplinary teams. You will ensure that propulsion concepts are translated into executable test programs and system requirements.
