The role demands ownership of all outward facing messaging that explains how the company's technology aligns with societal values. You will translate dense regulatory concepts into accessible stories that resonate with both specialized and general audiences. The position requires constant vigilance regarding the media landscape and the ability to pivot communication tactics accordingly. What you'll do
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that positions Reflectionai as a thought leader in open-source AI policy.
Lead the drafting of op-eds, policy briefs, and public statements that articulate the company's stance on emerging regulatory frameworks.
Coordinate with technical and policy teams to ensure that complex product features are translated into accurate and compelling narratives for external stakeholders.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists, analysts, and influencers in the technology, national security, and policy spaces.
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, preparing and conducting interviews across major media outlets to ensure message consistency.
Monitor the media landscape and public discourse to identify emerging narratives and potential reputational risks requiring immediate response.
Collaborate with the government affairs team to align public communication strategies with legislative and regulatory developments.
Manage crisis communication protocols, ensuring rapid, transparent, and effective responses to any issues that may impact the company's reputation.
Oversee the production of communication materials for conferences, events, and digital platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
Analyze communication performance using data and feedback to continuously refine messaging and improve the effectiveness of public outreach.
Ensure all external communications adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, working closely with the legal team to mitigate risk.
Champion transparency in AI development by clearly explaining the safeguards and ethical considerations behind the company's technology.
Represent Reflectionai at industry events, panels, and media engagements to elevate the company's profile in the policy community.
Foster a culture of open communication within the organization, ensuring that all teams understand the importance of the public narrative.
Act as a bridge between the technical complexity of AI development and the public's understanding of its implications.
Requirements
