What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored low voltage, security, and fire system solutions.
• Prepare detailed preconstruction estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and availability information for project bids.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project proposals.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Work alongside the sales team to support the development of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Provide technical support during the sales process, addressing client inquiries and clarifying product specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in low voltage, security, and fire systems to maintain competitive knowledge.
• Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
• Support the development of marketing materials and technical documentation that highlight Bamboohr's offerings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating and sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales engineering, estimating, or a related role within the low voltage, security, or fire systems industry.
• Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in estimates and proposals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site assessments and client meetings as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to low voltage and fire systems.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in a technical sales capacity.
