Workplace Experience Lead
Job description
Workplace Experience Lead at Pylon Labs.
About the role
You will own the end to end experience of running multiple offices for a high growth B2B company from day one. This role requires you to redline leases, negotiate with vendors, and design workflows that make office operations feel invisible yet robust. You will act as the operating spine for our San Francisco base while preparing the ground for New York and a future London office. Your work will connect daily execution to company wide goals, turning events and logistics into moments that reinforce our culture. You will manage a distributed team of porters and executive assistants to handle repeatable tasks so the office can scale without breaking. Ultimately, you will own the philosophy of the workplace and derive the rules that keep our environments productive, welcoming, and resilient.
Key facts
What you'll do
Investigate and resolve day to day issues across our offices including A/V, visitor flow, food, vendors, janitors, deliveries, and facility anomalies.
Design systems that automate low impact work while ensuring high touch experiences for customers and employees.
Own the full lifecycle of office operations from setup to scale, handling all-hands, offsites, customer dinners, and recruiting events.
Plan and execute logistics for travel, hotel blocks, and event infrastructure as we expand toward New York and London.
Act as Chief Fun Officer by connecting company milestones to team wide celebrations and offsite experiences.
Manage a portfolio of porters and executive assistants to handle repeatable, processized tasks that still require physical or manual execution.
Derive rules from company philosophy so that the office operates with clarity, consistency, and alignment to Pylon's mission.
Coordinate customer dinners, recruiting events, and cross office gatherings to ensure every interaction feels intentionally Pylonic.
Flex into broader general and administrative responsibilities as the company grows and our office footprint evolves.
Serve as the primary owner for the office in San Francisco while maintaining a playbook for opening future locations.
Requirements
You have 5 or more years running offices for high growth companies, with at least one instance of opening a new office or scaling an existing one.
You have hired and managed your own small team, including porters, contractors, and executive assistants.
You have been an IC who performed every role yourself at one point and are not afraid to do the dirty work when needed.
You are based in the San Francisco office full-time because this role requires constant physical presence to embody in person culture.
You are comfortable owning ambiguous problems where the process is not yet built and you must create it from scratch.
You thrive in environments where the job description changes as the company grows and new responsibilities emerge.
You have strong judgment for delegating work, automating manual steps, and streamlining operations across locations.
You care deeply about how space, logistics, and experience shape team morale and customer perception.
Nice to have
Experience working with investor backed, venture scaled companies in the B2B space.
Background in event design, customer success, or operations for enterprise software organizations.
Familiarity with tools used for communication, logistics, and facilities management in fast growing teams.
Practical notes
This role is full time and based in San Francisco.
The successful candidate must be able to work in person full time in the San Francisco office.
No visa sponsorship is mentioned for this role.
There are no published working hour details, travel requirements, or application deadlines in the source material.
