Pylon-labs is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Operations Lead to oversee and optimize the company's core marketing infrastructure. This role involves managing the entire marketing technology stack, designing and maintaining campaign structures, and ensuring effective lead management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining data quality, implementing automation, and supporting the marketing and sales teams to improve overall pipeline performance. You will work closely with Revenue Operations, Data teams, and Sales Operations to develop trusted performance reports, refine marketing processes, and ensure alignment across teams. What you'll do
- Administer, optimize, and maintain the marketing technology stack, including platforms such as Marketo, Customer.io, Unify, UserGems, Sequel, Hightouch, Clay, Navattic, Hex, and Salesforce, ensuring seamless integration, data accuracy, and system reliability.
- Maintain a consistent and scalable campaign hierarchy within Salesforce to support accurate reporting on various marketing activities, including campaigns, programs, and lead sources.
- Design, implement, and refine lead scoring models, lead-to-account matching, and routing logic in collaboration with Sales Operations to ensure timely and accurate lead distribution to sales teams.
- Manage lead source, channel taxonomy, and attribution models, resolving data discrepancies and ensuring reliable pipeline insights for leadership and forecasting.
- Oversee tracking mechanisms such as Google Tag Manager, ad-platform APIs, and other tracking tools, building audience segments for paid campaigns and ensuring proper attribution.
- Handle the full lifecycle of leads and events, from registration and enrichment to MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) handoff to sales, ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
- Maintain email deliverability by managing sending domains, SPF, DKIM, DMARC records, and list hygiene practices to maximize inbox placement and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA across all marketing systems, implementing necessary controls and documentation.
- Implement AI and automation tools to streamline marketing operations, reduce manual effort, and minimize errors, including leveraging AI for data analysis, segmentation, and process automation.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Data teams to develop and maintain trusted marketing performance reports, including metrics like MQL, SQL, opportunity pacing, and pipeline contribution.
- Work closely with Sales Operations and Customer Success Operations to define shared funnel metrics, SLAs, and ensure alignment on definitions and processes.
- Manage the marketing operations budget, tracking expenses and optimizing spend across tools and campaigns.
- Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and enablement to marketing and sales teams, including training and documentation.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new tools, and emerging trends in marketing automation, AI, and data management to continuously improve processes.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Marketo, including building forms, managing lists, designing program architecture, configuring scoring, nurturing campaigns, and integrating with other systems.
- 5-7 years of experience in Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations, with a focus on B2B SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in Salesforce administration, including managing Campaign objects, hierarchies, reporting, dashboards, and data management.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement lead scoring models, lead-to-account matching, and routing logic tailored to B2B SaaS sales processes.
- Active use of AI tools and automation to enhance operational efficiency and develop scalable processes.
- Strong systems-oriented approach to problem-solving, with an emphasis on identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and translate ambiguous requests into actionable solutions.
- Willingness to reside in San Francisco or relocate, as this is an on-site position requiring in-person presence.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, with experience implementing compliance measures across marketing systems.
Nice to have
- Experience leading a full implementation or migration of a Marketing Automation Platform (MAP), including planning, execution, and post-launch optimization.
- Familiarity with other MAPs such as Customer.io, and experience integrating them into existing marketing ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of GTM and ad-platform tracking and attribution tools like Hockeystack or Bizible, with experience setting up and troubleshooting attribution models.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Hex, Looker, or Tableau for modeling, analyzing, and visualizing marketing and sales data.
- SQL skills for querying data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, enabling advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with intent or signal tools such as Unify or UserGems, or data-activation tools like Sequel and Hightouch, to enhance targeting and personalization efforts.
- Prior collaboration with dedicated Sales Operations and Customer Success Operations teams to align processes, definitions, and SLAs.
