What you'll do

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to create detailed precast concrete models that align with project requirements and specifications.
• Utilize advanced modeling software to develop 3D representations of precast components, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in design.
• Conduct thorough reviews of project plans and specifications to identify potential design conflicts and propose effective solutions.
• Prepare shop drawings and fabrication details for precast elements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure that models are translated accurately into physical precast products, facilitating a smooth manufacturing process.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, address challenges, and provide technical insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project conditions and ensure that precast installations meet design specifications.
• Maintain organized documentation of project files, including design revisions, correspondence, and meeting notes, to support project tracking and accountability.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to precast concrete to enhance design practices and project outcomes.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets, providing input on timelines and resource allocation for modeling tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in precast concrete modeling or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
• Strong understanding of precast concrete design principles, fabrication processes, and installation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions in a timely manner.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets project specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations relevant to precast concrete construction.
