As a , you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing precast concrete projects from inception to completion. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to ensure that all project phases are executed efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and construction teams, to ensure that project specifications are met and timelines are adhered to. What you'll do
- Coordinate the planning and execution of precast concrete projects, ensuring that all phases align with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with design teams to review project specifications and ensure that all precast elements meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials and manage logistics for precast deliveries.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring that all work is performed according to specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, providing insights on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects remain within financial constraints.
- Resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, working collaboratively with team members to find effective solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
- Participate in project meetings, providing input on design and construction methods to enhance project outcomes.
- Support the training and development of junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices related to precast concrete project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in precast concrete or construction.
- Strong understanding of precast concrete design, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction and precast concrete work.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage project documentation and schedules.
Nice to have
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in precast concrete projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations specific to the Florida region.
- Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is a plus.
- Previous experience in client-facing roles, enhancing customer relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in construction and precast concrete.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD or similar design software for reviewing precast drawings.
- Familiarity with construction management tools and platforms for tracking project progress and documentation.
- Excellent time management skills, enabling the effective prioritization of tasks and projects.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts and supplier agreements.
