What you'll do
- Design and implement validation tests for subsystems within our quantum computing framework, ensuring they meet predefined specifications.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to define validation requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Conduct thorough analysis of test results, identifying issues and proposing solutions to improve system performance.
- Develop automated testing frameworks to enhance the efficiency and coverage of validation processes.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights on subsystem performance and reliability based on validation outcomes.
- Document validation procedures, results, and findings, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
- Work with manufacturing teams to support the integration of validated subsystems into larger systems.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices in subsystem validation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quantum computing, applying this knowledge to enhance validation strategies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the validation team, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
- Engage with external partners and academic institutions to share knowledge and collaborate on validation methodologies.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in validation or testing of complex electronic systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar for developing automated tests.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software integration, particularly in high-performance computing environments.
- Experience with validation tools and methodologies, including both hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing.
- Familiarity with quantum computing principles and technologies is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in developing validation plans for quantum computing systems or similar advanced technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards for testing and validation, such as ISO or IEC standards.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques as they apply to system validation and performance optimization.
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Participation in open-source projects related to validation or testing frameworks.

- Proficient in using validation and testing tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent.

- Knowledge of simulation tools and methodologies relevant to subsystem validation.
- Competency in hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
