You will play a crucial part in managing the complete payroll cycle, ensuring that all payroll-related activities are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.

What you'll do

• Oversee the entire payroll processing cycle, which includes handling regular payroll runs and any special payroll requests for the company and its affiliated entities.
• Set up and maintain necessary payroll tax registrations across various states and local jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
• Administer and configure the payroll software system, ensuring that all data entered is accurate and up-to-date.
• Input, verify, and maintain employee payroll information, including hours worked, deductions, and tax withholdings, to ensure precise payroll calculations.
• Address and resolve inquiries from employees regarding their pay, taxes, and deductions, providing clear and timely responses.
• Generate detailed payroll reports for accounting and compliance purposes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and complete.
• Organize and protect confidential payroll records, maintaining the highest standards of data security and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data into the overall financial reporting processes.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in payroll processing.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new employees by ensuring their payroll information is accurately captured and processed.
• Participate in payroll audits and assist in the implementation of improvements to payroll processes as needed.
• Provide training and support to other team members regarding payroll procedures and software usage as necessary.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing; 7 or more years is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing payroll across multiple states, including knowledge of tax compliance and registration requirements.
• Proficiency in modern payroll software, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with Rippling.
• Experience serving as the primary or sole payroll administrator for a company and its subsidiaries, showcasing your ability to handle complex payroll scenarios.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll and managing payroll-related data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll concepts and issues clearly to employees.

• Familiarity with Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting, which can enhance your ability to manage payroll data effectively.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, providing insight into the unique payroll challenges faced by such companies.
