About the role
In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical EDI processes and the enrollment procedures necessary for creating effective service delivery workflows. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and enrollment practices while continuously improving internal operations to ensure support for our clients.

What you'll do
- Provide direct assistance to business owners and billing teams through various communication channels, including chat and email, while escalating more complex technical issues as your expertise develops.
- Serve as a customer advocate by delivering ongoing support through the EDI help desk, addressing inquiries related to clearinghouse rejections, EDI regulations, and application assistance.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by actively listening to their unique needs and ensuring exceptional value in every interaction.
- Represent EDI and enrollment topics during client onboarding sessions and other scheduled meetings, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our revenue cycle management and clearinghouse functionalities to effectively respond to customer inquiries.
- Build your expertise in EDI and enrollment processes, with an expectation of gradually taking on more technical responsibilities.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of both internal and external EDI knowledge bases to enhance the scalability of the help desk.
- Establish and refine processes and workflows aimed at improving the efficiency of the EDI team.
- Identify and propose opportunities for leveraging AI technologies to streamline EDI processes and workflows.
- Assist in the creation, review, and prioritization of EDI engineering tickets to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support the overall objectives of the team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Rehab Clinician, including roles such as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and test various software use cases and issues effectively.
- A proactive and self-driven attitude, with the ability to learn quickly and independently utilizing available resources.
- Demonstrated capability to thrive in dynamic work environments that require adaptability and efficiency.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changes, and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey information clearly and effectively.
- No prior experience in EDI or enrollment is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
Nice to have
- Experience working in a startup or B2B SaaS technology environment.
- Background in any area of clinical development or medical billing operations, including clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, system management, information management, medical monitoring, revenue cycle management follow-up, or claims review and submission.
- Familiarity with customer support software such as Zendesk.
- Knowledge of e-clinical systems and technologies, including EMR, RTM, HEP, CRM, or Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of EDI and enrollment concepts (training will be provided)
- Experience with Zendesk (preferred)
- Familiarity with EMR, RTM, HEP, CRM, and HIEs (preferred)
