AI Intern, Applied & Agentic AI
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end delivery of AI features and agentic workflows alongside senior engineers, ensuring solutions meet strict reliability and compliance standards for regulated industries. You will design and implement production-ready AI applications that directly support client operations in high-stakes environments. You will translate ambiguous business requirements into technical tasks while maintaining a sharp focus on measurable outcomes and user impact. You will rigorously evaluate agent behavior, diagnose failures, and iterate on system performance using structured testing and monitoring. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to integrate cutting-edge models into robust, maintainable pipelines. You will document your work and decisions to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and long-term maintainability of the systems you build. You will actively challenge assumptions and propose improvements that push the boundaries of what is possible in applied AI.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows that solve real business problems under enterprise constraints.
Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that integrate securely with existing client data sources and knowledge bases.
Conduct rigorous experimentation to evaluate agent performance, identify failure modes, and drive measurable improvements.
Build and maintain production-grade tooling for monitoring, logging, and debugging AI applications in regulated environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
Perform detailed analysis of agent behavior, trace execution paths, and refine prompts, tools, and orchestration for reliability.
Partner with data scientists and engineers to benchmark models, manage datasets, and ensure reproducibility across experiments.
Ensure all solutions adhere to strict compliance, security, and governance standards required by highly regulated industries.
Contribute to internal platforms and reusable components that accelerate AI development across ProCogia and client projects.
Present progress, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the design and execution of tests that validate correctness, safety, and performance of AI-driven features.
Champion best practices in version control, containerization, and infrastructure as code for AI workloads.
Engage in continuous learning to apply emerging techniques in generative AI, agentic systems, and workflow automation.
Help define and improve the end-to-end lifecycle for AI features from conception through deployment and monitoring.
