(US) Software Implementation Consultant
Job description
About the role
This is a US Software Implementation Consultant position at PointClickCare, operating within the Professional Services and Solution Services teams. The role is remote with full-time engagement, requiring US work authorization. A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, and the position typically requires five to seven years of relevant implementation or consulting experience. Up to 30% travel is required for customer sites and regional meetings, with mandatory onsite presence in Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City for onboarding, team events, and scheduled meetings.
What you'll do
You will own the end-to-end configuration and deployment of PointClickCare solutions, translating complex customer workflows into precise system settings. Key responsibilities include partnering directly with clients to gather requirements, designing solution architectures, and validating that implemented software meets operational and compliance needs. You will bridge the gap between product capabilities and customer expectations, ensuring each deployment follows best practices and quality standards.
Specific duties include configuring and customizing PointClickCare software settings to align with specific customer workflows and regulatory requirements. You will lead the collection and translation of client requirements into detailed implementation plans and configuration specifications. This involves hands-on setup of resident profiles, care plans, schedules, workflows, and user permissions within the application environment.
Additional responsibilities include developing and executing test plans, including user acceptance testing, to verify configurations function correctly and meet business rules. You will create and maintain implementation documentation, configuration guides, and process maps for internal knowledge and client reference. You will coordinate scheduling and logistics for onsite or remote onboarding sessions, ensuring all stakeholders are prepared and engaged.
The role requires collaboration with product and engineering teams to report bugs, suggest enhancements, and prioritize configuration workarounds based on client impact. You will support the development of training materials and deliver hands-on coaching to client super-users and administrative staff. Monitoring deployment timelines, tracking milestones, and escalating risks or blockers ensures successful go-live and cutover. You will act as a technical resource during post-implementation support, diagnosing configuration issues and recommending corrective actions.
Other key activities include partnering with analytics and data teams to validate data migration integrity and ensure accurate reporting from day one. You will represent PointClickCare in professional forums and client meetings, maintaining a strong brand presence and adherence to company standards. The role involves continuously refining implementation playbooks and checklists based on lessons learned and evolving best practices, demonstrating ownership of the full implementation lifecycle from initial scoping through stabilization and optimization.
