About the role
Pleo is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Emerging Sales team focused on the UKI SMB market. You will guide a team of 7 Account Executives to drive revenue growth and expand our footprint within the UKI B2B sector. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle for your region, translating strategic objectives into daily actions that directly influence top-line growth. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing sales culture that emphasizes ownership, transparency, and data-driven decision-making. This role requires you to act as a key strategist for your market, identifying trends and competitor activity to ensure Pleo remains the partner of choice for small and medium businesses. You will foster a collaborative environment where coaching is continuous and feedback is constructive, enabling your team to develop resilient sales habits. Ultimately, your success will be measured by your team's ability to consistently exceed quotas and establish long-term customer relationships that fuel sustainable expansion.

What you'll do
- Architect and execute a comprehensive sales plan for the UKI B2B market, outlining specific actions to penetrate new verticals and capture untapped revenue streams.
- Recruit, select, and onboard high-potential Account Executives, ensuring the team composition aligns with the strategic goals of the Emerging Sales function.
- Conduct hands-on sales calls and participate in key strategic deals to provide direct mentorship and demonstrate expected behaviors and techniques.
- Analyze complex pipeline data and performance dashboards to uncover inefficiencies and implement specific adjustments that boost team productivity.
- Design and lead targeted outreach campaigns aimed at C-level stakeholders within the UKI region to build brand authority and generate high-quality interest.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Pleo and the UKI market, gathering customer insights and translating feedback into actionable improvements for products and messaging.
- Organize and host networking events, workshops, and product demonstrations to strengthen community ties and position Pleo as a thought leader in the SMB financial ecosystem.
- Develop and monitor a rigorous forecasting process, ensuring that sales predictions are accurate, transparent, and aligned with company objectives.
- Champion the adoption of sales tools and methodologies, ensuring the team leverages technology to maximize efficiency and maintain a consistent pipeline.
- Evaluate individual and team performance against clearly defined KPIs, providing tailored coaching and development plans to close skill gaps.
- Establish a strong presence at industry conferences, meetups, and startup gatherings to elevate the Pleo brand and generate high-intent leads.
- Build strategic alliances with complementary service providers and partners to create a robust ecosystem that supports customer success.
- Drive the creation of sales playbooks and battle cards specific to the UKI landscape to equip the team with the resources needed for success.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards, maintaining the integrity of the Pleo brand in every interaction.
Requirements
- You have a proven track record of successfully hiring, managing, and scaling sales teams in a fast-paced B2B environment.
- You possess a deep and current understanding of the UKI B2B buyer landscape and the nuances of the regional SaaS industry.
- You have direct experience managing and scaling high-velocity outbound sales pipelines, demonstrating consistent results.
- You excel at building professional trust and credibility with internal teams and external partners, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- You operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, taking initiative and making decisive moves even in ambiguous situations.
- You are fluent in English, with native or bilingual proficiency allowing for clear and effective communication in all professional settings.
- You are legally authorized to work in the location specified for this role, with no reliance on visa sponsorship from the employer.
- You have a history of achieving and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Practical notes
This is a hybrid role requiring physical presence in the office. You must possess a valid right to work in the location; visa sponsorship is not available.
