What you'll do

• Develop new iOS features for users to discover inspiration on Pinterest.
• Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from initial ideas and prototyping to scalable implementation and release.
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver complete functionalities.
• Contribute fresh product ideas and features from a user's perspective.
• Ensure high technical quality through automated testing and take ownership of developed components.
• Enhance your engineering skills by working with experienced colleagues on impactful projects.

Requirements

• Profound understanding of iOS development principles and best practices in Objective C and/or Swift, including Xcode, app states, and memory management.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience building consumer or business-facing iOS applications.
• Demonstrated ability to write reliable and maintainable code that can be used by many other engineers.
• Capacity to stay current with emerging technologies and assess their suitability for integration.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proven track record of using AI to improve workflow efficiency and output quality.
• Strong skills in critically evaluating and verifying AI-generated work, including testing and source checking.
• High level of integrity and ownership, with a commitment to protecting sensitive data, avoiding over-reliance on AI, and taking accountability for final decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and a disciplined approach to managing code changes.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes relevant to iOS applications.
• Understanding of networking concepts, asynchronous programming patterns, and data serialization formats such as JSON.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to implement them in mobile applications.
• Experience with analytics and monitoring tools to measure feature impact and application health.

• Base salary range: $123,696 - $254,667 USD.
