What you'll do

• Drive research in machine learning and large language models, focusing on applications like search agents, recommendation systems, and planning agents.
• Gather, examine, and interpret data to build intelligent, data-driven models.
• Produce well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Apply machine learning, natural language processing, and graph analysis techniques to address modeling and ranking challenges across various product areas.
• Independently define and resolve moderately complex problems.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Statistics, Information Sciences, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in machine learning and information retrieval.
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Java, C++, Python) or one machine learning framework (Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLFlow).
• Experience in research and a proven ability to solve analytical problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and communicate clearly.
• Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in natural language processing and reasoning, computer vision for multi-modality, graph neural networks, inclusive and responsible AI, reinforcement learning, user modeling, or recommender systems.

Practical notes

• This role requires in-office collaboration 1-2 times per quarter, but the individual can be located anywhere in the US.

• Salary range: $189,308 - $389,753 USD. This range is subject to adjustment based on factors such as location, travel, and prior experience.
• This position is also eligible for equity.
