As a Logistics Coordinator at Pcs Global, you will play a role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting. What you'll do

• Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule shipments and manage logistics timelines effectively.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and inventory records.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that stock is replenished in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including freight forwarders and shipping companies, to negotiate rates and improve service levels.
• Conduct regular audits of logistics processes and systems to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Assist in the development of logistics strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on logistics best practices and software tools used in the logistics process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the logistics process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Prepare reports and presentations on logistics performance for management review, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in logistics technology to recommend innovative solutions that can enhance our operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping practices is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems or logistics management software.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or similar).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, which would be advantageous in our diverse work environment.
• Familiarity with lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Skills & tools

• Strong proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with project management tools to track logistics initiatives and improvements.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Practical notes

• This position is based in Santo Domingo, Este, and may require occasional travel to supplier and partner locations.
• The role may involve working outside of regular business hours to accommodate international shipping schedules.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the Dominican Republic and may require a visa sponsorship, which will be provided for qualified applicants.
