What you'll do

• Conduct thorough compliance audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement within the organization.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the organization adapts its policies and practices accordingly.
• Prepare and deliver training sessions for employees on compliance-related topics, fostering awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries, addressing concerns and providing solutions to compliance challenges.
• Support the development of a compliance culture within the organization by promoting ethical behavior and accountability at all levels.
• Participate in investigations of compliance violations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and training sessions to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during compliance reviews and assessments.
• Stay informed about best practices in compliance management and contribute to the continuous improvement of the compliance program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related area, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to our industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance management software.

Nice to have

• Certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to Bamboohr's operations.
