Senior Software Engineer (
Job description
About the role
You will architect and own the core data ingestion pipelines that power our market-leading compensation intelligence platform. This role demands a full-stack mindset where you translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable software solutions. You will partner deeply with data scientists, product managers, and enterprise customers to iterate on features that drive confident pay decisions. Your work will directly influence how thousands of organizations manage their most valuable asset: employee compensation. You will champion modern engineering practices while mentoring junior developers through code reviews and technical discussions. Expect to operate in a fast-paced environment where agility and clarity are paramount.

Write optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for data-intensive applications targeting relational databases such as MSSQL and Postgres.
Develop and maintain customer-facing interfaces using Angular 20+, handling complex forms, state management, multi-step workflows, and interactive data dashboards.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver secure, reliable systems that provide an exceptional user experience.
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the team's Agile processes to ensure predictable and high-quality delivery.
Identify and proactively resolve technical debt to improve system maintainability and long-term scalability.
Ensure high code quality by writing comprehensive unit tests and integration tests while strictly adhering to coding standards.
Debug issues systematically across the entire stack, from front-end user interactions to back-end service communications.
Leverage and help shape AI-assisted development workflows to automate code generation, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements.
Monitor application performance and implement optimizations that enhance responsiveness and reliability under load.
Define and implement integration patterns between microservices using RESTful principles and message queues.
Contribute to the architectural direction of cloud-native solutions, focusing on resilience, security, and operational excellence.
Document system designs and processes clearly to enable knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding of new team members.
Support production incidents with a methodical approach to root cause analysis and timely resolution.
Requirements
Possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills applied to complex software engineering challenges.
Bring a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core for back-end development in production environments.
Have at least 2 years of experience working with modern front-end frameworks, specifically Angular, to build dynamic user interfaces.
Demonstrate deep familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and service-oriented design patterns.
Show proficiency in writing SQL and stored procedures for relational databases such as MSSQL or Postgres.
Have a solid grasp of object-oriented design principles and experience with message queues or messaging frameworks.
Show familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts and tools like Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
Have exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development environments, with Azure being the primary focus and AWS or similar platforms also welcome.
