In this role, you will own the strategic direction for vendor management and sourcing across Pattern's rapidly expanding U.S. warehouse network. You will act as the primary internal partner for operations, ensuring that packaging and supply workflows align precisely with business growth objectives. You will leverage your expertise to drive efficiency and cost savings without sacrificing speed or reliability. You will build and manage relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and mitigate risk at scale. You will translate intricate operational demands into clear procurement strategies that support our multi-brand marketplace model. You will ensure that our fulfillment environment remains resilient, scalable, and optimized for high-velocity, high-SKU-count operations.

What you'll do
Lead end-to-end vendor management for packaging and consumable supplies across Pattern's U.S. warehouse facilities.
Own the sourcing strategy for all packaging materials, balancing cost optimization, quality, and scalability with operational velocity.
Analyze spend data and usage trends to identify savings opportunities and forecast future needs as warehouse volume scales.
Collaborate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to understand evolving supply requirements and drive vendor improvements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with multiple suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and negotiate favorable contracts.
Define and standardize procurement processes that are robust yet lightweight, avoiding overbuilding before there is proven need.
Evaluate supplier performance using key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
Partner with finance to model total cost of ownership and support budget planning for packaging and related expenses.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline the flow of goods from intake to final shipment across the network.
Translate business requirements into clear specifications for packaging suppliers, ensuring alignment with sustainability and operational goals.
Support the rollout of new facilities by coordinating vendor selection and onboarding activities in a consistent manner.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving packaging efficiency, and enhancing the supplier experience.
Leverage data and experimentation to test new supplier configurations and validate changes before full implementation.
Act as the central point of contact for all procurement-related questions from internal stakeholders across the network.
Champion a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and data-driven decision-making within the supply chain function.
Translate high-level business objectives into actionable plans that procurement and warehouse teams can execute without friction.
Requirements
You bring a proven track record of managing vendor relationships and driving procurement strategies in a fast-paced environment.
You have experience sourcing packaging materials or consumable supplies in a high-volume, direct-to-consumer operation.
You are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
You demonstrate strong analytical skills, using data to inform decisions and measure the impact of procurement strategies.
You have a history of building and maintaining long-term supplier relationships while balancing cost and performance.
You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing several priorities in a dynamic, growth-stage company.
You are comfortable working within a structured framework but can also adapt quickly as business needs evolve.
You understand the basics of logistics and warehouse operations, including how packaging choices impact fulfillment and costs.
You are legally authorized to work in the United States and require no sponsorship for employment at this time.
Nice to have
Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory optimization tools.
Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment best practices and marketplace operations.
Background in sustainable packaging or familiarity with circular supply models.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning tools used to forecast demand or optimize spend.
Experience in a tech-enabled logistics or retail operations environment.

This role is based in Lehi, Utah, and requires in-office presence during standard business hours.
