We are seeking a technical marketer to bridge the gap between our engineering output and our go-to-market strategy. You will be responsible for translating our API capabilities into clear developer-facing collateral and managing product launches. The role requires you to act as both a student and a teacher of our technology stack. You will translate complex architectural concepts into narratives that resonate with engineers and decision-makers alike. This position demands comfort with ambiguity and a high tolerance for technical depth. Your work will directly influence how the market perceives our infrastructure and its capacity to de-risk AI deployment.

What you'll do
- Reverse engineer the intricacies of our 5 APIs to map functional capabilities to specific developer use cases.
- Architect and author comprehensive documentation that serves as the definitive resource for technical evaluation and adoption.
- Synthesize raw engineering output into cohesive narratives that clarify product positioning against alternative infrastructure solutions.
- Orchestrate the end-to-end lifecycle of a product launch, coordinating timelines, assets, and stakeholder inputs.
- Dissect technical differentiators to isolate genuine innovation from superficial feature claims for credible messaging.
- Interface directly with engineering teams to extract technical specifications and ensure accuracy in public-facing materials.
- Design and maintain sales collateral that equips revenue teams with the tools needed to articulate value during discovery calls.
- Establish content governance practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and version control across all documentation.
- Analyze developer interaction patterns to identify gaps in existing collateral and inform the creation of new resources.
- Champion the developer experience by advocating for clarity, completeness, and usability in all technical communications.
- Partner with customer success to gather testimonials and case studies that validate product performance in real-world scenarios.
- Translate ambiguous business objectives into structured go-to-market frameworks that align product, sales, and marketing teams.
- Evaluate competitive landscapes to identify whitespace opportunities and refine messaging strategies accordingly.
- Mentor junior marketers on best practices for technical communication and API product positioning.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product marketing or developer marketing within an API or infrastructure company.
- Ability to read and understand curl requests and translate them into narrative explanations of functionality.
- Proven track record of writing high-quality technical one-pagers and product content that drives developer engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work fully on-site in our San Francisco or Palo Alto offices without flexibility for remote work.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are strict and expectations are high.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market data and adjust messaging based on performance indicators.
- Comfort working with code repositories, logs, and technical diagrams to extract relevant information for non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of technical accuracy in all written and visual materials.
Skills & tools
- API documentation and developer relations expertise, including familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, and ReadMe.
- Go-to-market strategy development for technical products, including positioning, segmentation, and messaging frameworks.
- Technical writing proficiency for creating guides, tutorials, whitepapers, and API reference materials.
- Product launch management experience, including coordination with engineering, sales, and customer success teams.
- Basic understanding of software development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Familiarity with content management systems and static site generators used for developer portals.
- Data literacy to interpret usage metrics, conversion rates, and engagement scores from documentation platforms.
- Collaboration tools proficiency, including Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Figma for cross-functional coordination.
