About the role
You will architect and deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions that transform complex business workflows into automated, intelligent processes using AWS Bedrock and contemporary cloud infrastructure. In this capacity, you will own the full lifecycle of AI-powered automation, from initial discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization in production environments. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the Americas and Europe to translate intricate business requirements into scalable AI applications that drive measurable efficiency and operational excellence. Your work will center on building responsible and reliable AI systems that integrate seamlessly with critical enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and SAP, ensuring security, compliance, and performance are prioritized at every stage. You will leverage Retrieval-Augmented Generation and advanced knowledge base techniques to create context-aware automation that enhances decision-making and user productivity. Furthermore, you will act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding junior engineers and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and best practices in AI engineering within the Oowlish community. Key facts
What you'll do
You will analyze existing enterprise processes to identify automation opportunities and define technical strategies using AI and cloud services. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and maintainable AI workflows on AWS, with a strong emphasis on serverless architectures and infrastructure as code. You will implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems that connect large language models to authoritative data sources and real-time enterprise knowledge. You will integrate AI capabilities into complex enterprise software landscapes, including ServiceNow, SAP, and other mission-critical business platforms. You will establish robust data pipelines and knowledge management systems to ensure AI models have access to accurate, up-to-date, and contextually relevant information. You will apply Responsible AI frameworks to mitigate bias, ensure fairness, and maintain transparency in automated decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and other engineers, to refine requirements and align technical solutions with strategic business objectives. You will write clean, well-documented, and testable code that adheres to architectural standards and supports long-term maintainability. You will conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and optimize the efficiency of AI applications. You will stay current with advancements in AI and cloud technologies, evaluating new tools and techniques to continuously improve the solutions you deliver.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or you have equivalent practical experience. You have extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services, and a deep understanding of core AWS services. You are proficient in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or JavaScript, and demonstrate strong software engineering principles in your daily work. You have significant experience designing, developing, and deploying AI applications and machine learning models in production environments. You are knowledgeable in enterprise integration patterns and have worked with complex systems like ServiceNow, SAP, or similar business management platforms. You have a solid understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering techniques, and the challenges associated with deploying LLMs in enterprise contexts. You are familiar with Responsible AI concepts, including bias detection, model explainability, and security best practices for AI systems. You have experience with infrastructure as code tools and containerization technologies that support scalable and resilient deployments.
Nice to have
You have prior experience working with AWS Bedrock and building applications on top of large language models. You have a portfolio of successful AI projects that demonstrate your ability to solve complex business problems. You are familiar with low-code or no-code integration platforms often used in enterprise environments. You have contributed to open-source projects or technical communities related to AI or cloud development.
Practical notes
The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to work from São Paulo or other locations. The position operates on a standard schedule requiring availability during core business hours to coordinate with international teams. Travel is not required for this position.
