What you'll do

• Architect and implement new iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI, focusing on clean architecture and maintainable codebases.
• Integrate advanced AI capabilities by connecting mobile interfaces with backend APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and error handling.
• Design intuitive user flows that simplify complex AI interactions, addressing edge cases such as loading states, streaming data, and fallback mechanisms.
• Optimize application performance by reducing memory footprint and minimizing battery drain during intensive AI operations.
• Analyze user interaction data and qualitative feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing AI features and overall application usability.
• Partner with backend and machine learning teams to define API contracts and system architecture that support scalable mobile experiences.
• Uphold App Store submission standards by conducting rigorous quality assurance and ensuring the stability of production releases.
• Execute comprehensive test plans, including unit tests and UI tests, to validate functionality and prevent regressions prior to deployment.
• Monitor industry advancements in iOS development and AI integration to recommend improvements and mentor junior developers.
• Facilitate collaborative code reviews, offering detailed and actionable feedback to elevate the team's coding standards and practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation for features and APIs to support long-term maintenance and accelerate the onboarding of new engineers.
• Lead debugging sessions to resolve critical issues, utilizing analytical skills to trace problems in asynchronous workflows and network communication.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of the mobile roadmap, aligning technical decisions with business objectives and user needs.
• Ensure that the application remains responsive and reliable under varying network conditions and device capabilities.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in iOS development, with a strong emphasis on Swift programming language.
• Demonstrate a proven history of integrating artificial intelligence features into mobile applications, showcasing relevant project experience.
• Show advanced proficiency in asynchronous programming paradigms, including async/await, GCD, and management of background threads.
• Exhibit expertise in optimizing iOS applications for performance, memory efficiency, and energy consumption.
• Have a solid track record of successfully shipping and maintaining production-level iOS applications in the App Store.
• Demonstrate the ability to design systems that gracefully handle latency, partial failures, and the non-deterministic nature of AI services.
• Hold a strong understanding of iOS security best practices and data privacy considerations when handling user information.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to debug complex issues in distributed mobile environments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with CoreML or other on-device machine learning frameworks to reduce latency and preserve user privacy.
• Familiarity with feature flagging and remote configuration tools such as LaunchDarkly or Firebase Remote Config.
• Deep understanding of AI user experience heuristics, including managing user expectations and building trust in AI outputs.
