About the role
Nextiva is a cloud communications company that helps businesses connect with their customers through phone, text, and video solutions delivered over the internet. The Jr Expansion Account Executive role focuses on growing existing customer accounts by identifying new needs and presenting additional service offerings that add value to each client relationship. This position works closely with the sales team to expand revenue within the current client base while building long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate will develop strong relationships with clients across industries while learning the fundamentals of account management, consultative selling, and business development in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do
- Identify growth opportunities within existing customer accounts through regular check-ins and thorough needs assessments
- Present tailored service packages to current clients to expand their use of Nextiva products and solutions
- Collaborate with senior account managers to develop strategies for increasing customer lifetime value and retention
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and sales activities in the company CRM system daily
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor offerings in the cloud communications sector
- Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations to uncover new business needs and pain points
- Support the onboarding process for new service additions and ensure smooth transitions for existing clients
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on product features and effective sales techniques
- Monitor account performance metrics and report on expansion progress to the sales leadership team each week
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction and long-term retention rates
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams to gather client feedback that informs future service improvements
- Track sales pipeline activities and forecast quarterly revenue contributions from the existing customer portfolio
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience in business, communications, or a related field of study
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer success roles within a service company
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
- Comfort with cold outreach and proactive engagement with both new prospects and existing clients
- Basic understanding of CRM software and sales pipeline management concepts is expected for this role
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment on a daily basis
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or company offices located in Guadalajara when needed
- Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of goals and follows through on commitments without constant supervision
- Familiarity with cloud-based communication platforms and SaaS business models is considered a strong advantage
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred for client-facing responsibilities and internal team collaboration
Nice to have
- Previous experience working in the telecommunications or cloud services industry with a sales focus
- Exposure to B2B sales cycles and understanding of how businesses evaluate communication technology solutions
- Background in account planning and territory management within a structured enterprise sales organization
- Knowledge of Spanish and English bilingual communication for serving diverse client accounts across regions
- Prior experience using data dashboards or analytics tools to track account health and growth indicators
