What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal teams, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and develop technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate relevant advancements into our projects.
• Assist in the integration of third-party APIs and services to enhance our software capabilities.
• Document software designs, processes, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure effective project management and team alignment.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on software features based on user needs and market demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in a gaming or analytics environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with web development frameworks and technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with database management systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and experience with data modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and experience with automated testing frameworks is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Previous involvement in game development or familiarity with gaming engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in an understandable manner.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with machine learning or data analytics frameworks is a bonus.
