Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. What you'll do
Cloud infrastructure forms the backbone for AI agents, and you design and operate it to keep the platform online. Automated pipelines deploy infrastructure as code so releases remain reliable and repeatable. Systems scale automatically and span multiple regions to handle usage spikes without disruption. Real-time monitoring, logging, and dashboards expose system health as it happens. Security controls like IAM, network segmentation, and audit trails protect critical operations.
Requirements
Run distributed systems at scale on major cloud platforms for 4+ years, with GCP as the primary environment and AWS or Azure as acceptable alternatives. Own infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform and Git Actions to drive efficiency. Optimize databases and systems to meet latency and cost targets under multi-modal workloads, using tools like pgBouncer and Kubernetes-based autoscaling. Apply modern monitoring and tracing tooling, including Datadog, and leverage built-in observability features in Vercel or GCP. Implement enterprise security practices covering authentication, service proxies, and audit trails. Treat infrastructure as a product, prioritize ambiguous requirements, and iterate with measurements that look 1-2 years ahead. Bring exposure to AI infrastructure and LLMs through hosting agents or personal experimentation with LLMs.
