About the role

You will own the frontend platform that becomes the default choice for every product team building on Netic's infrastructure. This position requires you to establish the design system and component library that sets the standard for quality and consistency across the entire product suite. You will architect app-shell primitives that allow new application surfaces to initialize and spin up with remarkable speed. In this role, you will define the strict conventions surrounding data fetching, forms management, state architecture, and client-side routing to ensure alignment. The work demands balancing the flexibility needed for rapid experimentation across diverse service verticals with the discipline required for coherent user experiences. You will ensure that every interface remains accessible, performant, and trustworthy for operators managing essential services.

What you'll do

Establish the foundational design system and component library that serves as the default UI layer for all product teams at Netic.

Architect and maintain app-shell primitives including routing, authentication, session handling, and the typed API client layer.

Define data-fetching strategies, form frameworks, table abstractions, and client-side state management patterns for platform consumption.

Drive frontend platform observability by owning build pipelines, Core Web Vitals, error tracking, and client-side logging infrastructure.

Set long-term frontend architecture direction in collaboration with leadership, determining build-vs-buy choices and monorepo boundaries.

Implement and govern a high-quality design system with tokens, primitives, accessibility baselines, and comprehensive documentation.

Eliminate friction for product engineers by creating intuitive, well-documented APIs and components that are difficult to misuse.

Utilize RFCs, office hours, and migration guides to influence adoption and establish best practices across the engineering organization.

Optimize for performance, bundle size, and rendering strategy tradeoffs including SSR, RSC, and CSR based on product requirements.

Own the success of the platform through developer experience, ensuring that new surfaces can be built quickly and reliably.

Implement feature-flag and experimentation infrastructure to support safe, controlled rollouts of new platform capabilities.

Partner directly with product and engineering teams to understand complex workflows and translate them into robust frontend abstractions.

Maintain strict standards for accessibility, theming, and UI coherence as the company scales to support multiple concurrent products.

Contribute to the broader engineering culture by sharing knowledge, documenting patterns, and mentoring engineers on platform usage.

Requirements

Bring more than five years of experience building production web applications that serve real users in critical environments.

Possess a proven track record of owning a design system, component library, or core frontend abstraction adopted by multiple product teams.

Demonstrate deep fluency in React and TypeScript, including advanced patterns for component composition and type safety.

Show extensive experience with Next.js, specifically the App Router, React Server Components (RSC), and nuanced rendering tradeoffs.

Have built or substantially contributed to a production-grade design system that includes tokens, primitives, and accessibility standards.

Care deeply about the nuanced difference between a component that merely functions and one that is genuinely good to build with.

Exhibit the ability to design stable component APIs, hooks, and contracts that endure through rapid product iterations and market shifts.

Practice rigorous frontend performance optimization, bundle analysis, and client-side observability using tools such as Sentry or Datadog.

Have successfully managed migrations for frontend platforms across many consumer applications and shipped confidently to production.

Take ownership of long-term outcomes, thinking in terms of developer experience and the second-order effects on downstream product teams.
