Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead the full lifecycle of network routing and switching architecture and hardware, from initial assessment through deployment and optimization.
- Design and implement infrastructure improvements to boost performance, scalability, and resilience of the global network footprint.
- Manage daily network operations to ensure high availability, performance monitoring, and minimal downtime for all critical services.
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware, including complex LAN switches, next-generation firewalls, and enterprise Wi-Fi systems.
- Provide advanced technical support by resolving network-related incidents and user tickets with a focus on rapid restoration of service.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including detailed architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and implement robust countermeasures to protect network assets and data.
- Perform regular firmware updates on network devices and utilize monitoring tools to analyze and respond to system alerts proactively.
- Participate in the 24/7 network operational support rotation to address issues across different time zones and business hours.
- Lead detailed root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and generate formal reports to prevent future occurrences and improve processes.
- Ensure all network operations and configurations comply with established security, risk management, and regulatory standards.
- Orchestrate the deployment of network changes in coordination with application teams and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to advance the company's network capabilities.
- Serve as a technical liaison between IT operations and other departments to align network strategy with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Hold a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience that demonstrates a strong technical foundation.
- Bring a minimum of 8 years of related professional experience, with at least 5 years dedicated specifically to network design, implementation, and operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in core networking protocols, fundamental security principles, and the management of infrastructure controls.
- Show hands-on experience with a wide range of networking equipment and security appliances, including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and operating systems for Linux, Windows, and OS X.
- Develop a deep understanding of cloud security models, architectures, and the challenges of securing cloud-based environments.
- Exhibit the ability to manage complex projects independently while communicating technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Adhere to strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding data protection and network security.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail to ensure accurate configuration management and documentation integrity.
Nice to have
- Possess industry-recognized certifications such as PNSE, CEH, Security+, CCNA, or CCNP which validate advanced technical expertise.
- Gain hands-on experience with leading vendor platforms such as Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki, and Cisco products.

This role involves regular access to Protected Health Information (PHI), requiring strict adherence to privacy and security protocols. New hires must complete mandatory training regarding HIPAA, privacy, and security policies within the first 30 days of employment and must maintain ongoing compliance throughout their tenure.
