About the role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our EU Expansion Team to lead campaign strategy and execution to help us get our new markets live. In this role, you will own the tactical rollout of our alpha, beta, and mass-market launches across the European Union. You will act as the crucial link between our central teams and our local country Marketing Leads to set every new market up for success. You will work closely with our central Product and Marketing channels to ensure all touchpoints from the website and CRM to creative and messaging are built, localized, and ready to go. You will bring a creative problem-solving mindset to marketing for a new audience and find innovative ways to grow the brand in these markets. You will uphold Monzo's brand identity and values while adapting to the nuances of each local market.

What you'll do
Execute and help build a go-to-market plan for Business Banking launches in new EU markets, including media and channel strategies, communication tactics, and integrated marketing campaigns.
Develop and implement integrated marketing plans across multiple channels including digital, social, and traditional media.
Partner with Creative and Media agencies, managing day-to-day agency relationships and ensuring best-in-class campaign execution.
Work in partnership with the Communications Team to execute strategies that build brand awareness and drive engagement in each new market.
Collaborate with data teams to report frequently on key metrics, providing insights and actionable recommendations to optimize performance.
Navigate the regulatory landscape in Italy to ensure all marketing activities adhere to local regulations and compliance requirements.
Act as the central point of alignment between central Monzo teams and local country Marketing Leads to ensure consistency and cohesion.
Uphold Monzo's brand identity and values while adapting messaging and creative to suit the nuances of local audiences and cultural contexts.
Set a rhythm of updates and anticipate stakeholder questions in this fast-moving expansion, keeping everyone aligned and informed.
Translate ambiguous business problems or customer challenges into structured marketing plans and hands-on solutions.
Build and configure CRM journeys and campaign assets, working hands-on with tools and platforms to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Own the end-to-end execution of campaigns from ideation through launch, monitoring performance and iterating based on results.
Requirements
You have a proven track record of launching new products or entering new markets, having owned medium-sized projects that required cross-team collaboration and delivered successful outcomes.
You are hands-on and comfortable executing campaigns, building websites, and configuring CRM journeys.
You are comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and can take away unclear business problems to develop clear plans of attack.
You can think strategically while also managing detailed execution tasks, ensuring consistency across touchpoints and markets.
You communicate proactively and think ahead, setting a rhythm of updates and anticipating stakeholder questions in a fast-paced expansion environment.
You have experience working with stakeholders within a large organization to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
You demonstrate strong attention to detail and creativity in solving marketing challenges for a new audience.
You are able to navigate complex regulatory environments, with specific experience in Italian marketing regulations being a key requirement.
Nice to have
Experience working within the financial services or banking sector in a B2C context.
Prior experience managing campaigns across multiple European markets.
Familiarity with Monzo or other challenger banking brands.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in London.
The compensation range is £78,000 to £98,000 plus benefits as outlined on the Monzo careers site.
The role reports to the EU Expansion leadership team and requires close collaboration with central product, marketing, and local country teams.
Travel within the EU for market visits and stakeholder meetings may be required.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
