About the role
We are looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and implementation of AI-driven solutions within our internal IT framework. This role will be essential in guiding how AI enhances our operations, impacting service delivery, knowledge management, automation, and decision-making processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale AI/ML products and collaborating across various IT and business sectors.

What you'll do
- Develop and execute the internal AI product strategy in alignment with enterprise IT and business objectives.
- Manage multiple product lines within the internal AI domain, prioritizing impactful use cases across IT functions such as helpdesk, infrastructure, security, and enterprise data.
- Balance immediate AI initiatives with long-term goals focused on automation and decision support.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle for AI solutions, from ideation and user journey mapping to requirements gathering, vendor assessment, prototyping, and implementation.
- Maintain product backlogs, roadmaps, and key performance indicators to track success.
- Foster collaboration with IT leaders and business stakeholders to identify challenges and AI opportunities, ensuring alignment and support for AI initiatives.
- Communicate product vision and progress to executive leadership while ensuring compliance with governance, security, and privacy standards.
- Promote responsible AI practices and work with data teams to establish necessary safeguards.
- Act as a thought leader within the IT department, encouraging awareness and adoption of AI technologies, and mentoring junior product managers.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years focused on AI/ML, automation, or enterprise IT solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of IT service delivery and internal operations.
- Proven success in delivering AI or advanced analytics products at scale within a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with AI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI, AWS AI, and Google Cloud AI, along with their integration into IT systems like ZenDesk, SuccessFactors, and Salesforce.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a capacity to influence across all organizational levels.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data governance, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

MongoDB's base salary range for this position in the U.S. is between $164,000 and $323,000. Compensation offered will be based on various factors, including skills, experience, and location. This salary range is part of a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which may include equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, fully-paid parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, a 401(k) plan, mental health support, and health benefits.
