In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the internal financial data framework by prioritizing data as a valuable asset. Your primary focus will be on transitioning from traditional manual financial processes to automated, AI-enhanced forecasting systems. This involves managing intricate data pipelines and analytics to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for data products that facilitate financial planning, forecasting, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Partner with Finance leadership to convert business challenges into actionable technical requirements and user stories that guide product development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to launch datasets, APIs, dashboards, and data frameworks that support financial operations.
- Conduct audits of internal user workflows to ensure data integrity and prioritize sustainable technical solutions over quick fixes.
- Manage the product backlog effectively while overseeing agile delivery cycles from initial planning stages through to final release.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to system usability, data precision, and overall product uptake.
- Spearhead change management initiatives and maintain thorough technical documentation to guarantee system reliability and uptime.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features to continually enhance user experience and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to financial data management and reporting.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by promoting the value of accurate financial data.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure and ensure seamless integration of financial data systems.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in technical product management with a focus on data-centric products.
- Proven track record of collaborating with Finance teams on reporting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Solid understanding of contemporary data architecture, particularly medallion models and lakehouse frameworks.
- Familiarity with essential finance systems and ERP solutions, including knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and aging schedules.
- Experience with Workforce Planning and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of managing SOX compliance and handling sensitive financial data requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail in managing financial data workflows.

- Familiarity with machine learning applications in financial forecasting and analysis.
