What you'll do
- Serve as the primary liaison for payroll within cross-functional projects that impact payroll operations, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
- Direct and manage global payroll projects and initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving environment, ensuring timely execution and adherence to business objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of payroll system upgrades and enhancements, working closely with third-party vendors to optimize service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and meet the desired business outcomes.
- Develop and present comprehensive business cases that outline costs, risks, and operational impacts, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the scalability and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Standardize payroll practices across various regions to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
- Focus on enhancing the payroll experience for employees and stakeholders, ensuring that services are user-friendly and responsive.
- Continuously evaluate risks and devise strategies to uphold compliance and operational integrity across payroll functions.
- Analyze complex payroll challenges and implement effective, long-term solutions to address them.
- Generate and interpret payroll metrics and analytics to provide insights into performance and identify trends.
- Promote team growth and accountability, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Streamline payroll systems integration, ensuring compatibility with platforms such as SuccessFactors.
- Lead initiatives related to change management, particularly concerning payroll processes and system upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation related to payroll processes and internal controls.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership roles in global payroll initiatives within a complex, multinational environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, time-sensitive projects from start to finish, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Strong project management capabilities, with experience in defining project scope, managing timelines, identifying risks, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple global initiatives concurrently, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
- Experience working across various regions (NAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC) with a solid grasp of regional compliance and localization requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors, to facilitate alignment and remove barriers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of conducting root cause analyses and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience in driving process standardization and transformation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors), particularly in supporting implementations or enhancements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role in the United States is between $101,000 and $198,000, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and geographical location.
