About the role
Melio is seeking a driven professional to lead our affiliate and partnership channel within the Ultra High Value team. You will build this program from the ground up, identifying new verticals and establishing long-term revenue-sharing relationships. This role offers high visibility and the autonomy to shape our growth strategy in a fast-paced environment. You will own the end-to-end strategy for our affiliate ecosystem, uncovering opportunities in adjacent industries and translating them into scalable partnership models. The successful candidate will act as the primary architect of our revenue-share initiatives, setting the vision for how partners can leverage our platform to deliver value to their own customers. You will operate with significant independence, making strategic decisions that directly influence the trajectory of our Ultra High Value segment. This position is critical for establishing the foundation of our partnerships function and ensuring that our affiliate channel becomes a key driver of sustainable, high-value growth.

What you'll do
- Prospect and cold call potential partners, such as insurance brokers and credit card points consultants, to pitch revenue-share opportunities.
- Develop and test new outreach strategies to identify untapped market segments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of partner relationships, from initial recruitment to white-glove onboarding.
- Provide training and sales enablement to help partners effectively pitch Melio to their clients.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with your affiliate community to drive consistent lead volume.
- Collect and synthesize feedback to inform marketing and growth strategies.
- Analyze partner performance data to optimize campaigns and improve conversion rates over time.
- Collaborate with internal product and marketing teams to refine our value proposition for specific verticals.
- Identify and prioritize new verticals that align with our long-term revenue goals and partner demand.
- Negotiate and structure revenue-sharing agreements that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
- Create detailed reports on partner activity, market trends, and program health for executive review.
- Serve as the main point of contact for strategic partners, ensuring their success with the Melio platform.
- Design and implement processes for tracking partner-sourced revenue and attributing deals accurately.
- Champion the affiliate program internally to ensure cross-functional alignment and support.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in sales or partnerships, specifically in building a book of business from scratch.
- Proven ability to balance aggressive cold-calling with long-term relationship management.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments without established playbooks.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Outreach.io, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Ability to understand complex business models and articulate the value of a revenue-share ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of partners and driving revenue growth.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated mindset with the discipline to manage a pipeline of opportunities without direct supervision.
- Willingness to travel within the New York City area for partner meetings and industry events.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt strategies based on performance data.
Nice to have
Experience selling financial services or payments infrastructure to small or mid-sized businesses.
Background in affiliate marketing or referral program management within the fintech space.
Familiarity with E-Verify processes and requirements for employment verification.
