Account Executive (West Coast)
Job description
About the role
You own the end-to-end sales cycle for outpatient healthcare facilities, driving discovery, tailored demos, and deal closure from initial contact to signed agreement. You act as a consultative partner, diagnosing operational and staffing pain points and positioning Medely as a strategic, long-term value driver for each account. You combine rigorous territory planning with disciplined activity to push adoption of the Medely staffing marketplace among SMBs today while laying the foundation for mid-market expansion tomorrow. Success requires deep comfort with multi-stakeholder environments where clinical, operational, and executive buyers influence outcomes. You will rapidly absorb Medely's platform, value proposition, and the nuances of the healthcare staffing landscape to communicate relevance and ROI. You are accountable for generating and nurturing pipeline primarily through self-prospecting while converting inbound interest into closed revenue.
Key facts
What you'll do
Master Medely's platform, value proposition, and the healthcare staffing landscape to become fluent in product capabilities and customer pain points within your first month.
Schedule 1:1s with your manager to align on a 30-60-90 plan, shadow discovery and demo calls, and learn the sales tech stack including Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and Google Workspace.
Construct a detailed territory plan for outpatient healthcare facilities in your assigned region, identifying target accounts, stakeholders, and engagement strategies.
Build and maintain a high-quality outbound prospect list while diligently following up on inbound leads to keep the pipeline consistently full.
Run consultative discovery calls that uncover operational pain points and staffing needs, asking insightful questions to frame Medely as the right solution.
Tailor live demonstrations of Medely's platform, adapting use cases to different outpatient facility types such as clinics, urgent cares, and specialty practices.
Generate the majority of your pipeline through disciplined self-prospecting, leveraging research, outreach, and relationship-building to create opportunity.
Close your first deals by guiding accounts through the sales cycle, addressing objections, and coordinating with internal teams to meet procurement and compliance requirements.
Consistently meet or exceed activity metrics and pipeline targets while navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles that involve clinical, operational, and executive contacts.
Expand relationships with existing customers to drive renewals, upsells, and referrals, and partner closely with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and high adoption.
Share actionable market insights and feedback to leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for outpatient segments.
Mentor newer Account Executives as they ramp, providing coaching on outreach techniques, discovery skills, and platform knowledge to accelerate their ramp time.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, ensuring that notes, next steps, and pipeline stages reflect the true status of each opportunity.
Demonstrate resilience and self-motivation in a fully remote sales environment, maintaining high productivity without direct supervision and balancing a demanding quota.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 4 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience in software or technology, with healthcare or regulated industry experience viewed as a plus.
Show proficiency in consultative, solution-based selling with a documented track record of closing complex, multi-contact opportunities.
Prove you can generate pipeline through self-prospecting, using research, outreach, and networking to build a robust top of funnel.
Comfortably engage with multiple decision-makers across clinical, operational, and executive roles within a single account.
Thrive as a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual who remains disciplined and productive in a remote work setting.
Hold a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or demonstrate equivalent experience in sales if your formal education differs.
Pass our employment eligibility verification, which may include background checks as required by law and Medely policy.
Be legally authorized to work in the country where this role is based, with no sponsorship available for this position.
Adhere to Medely's code of conduct, data privacy standards, and internal policies while representing the brand professionally to customers and partners.
