About the role
As a Junior Financial Auditor at Forvis Mazars, you will have the opportunity to work within our Lons-le-Saunier office, under the guidance of experienced mission leaders. You will be part of audit teams that engage with a diverse range of sectors including banking, insurance, industry, services, and public service, catering to both large international corporations and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Your role will involve participating in various audit missions, both legal and contractual, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the auditing process. This position is ideal for students pursuing a DSCG and Master CCA, especially those who have gained initial experience through internships or work-study programs in accounting, auditing, management control, or finance.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Actively participate in the audit process by overseeing various audit cycles, including purchases and suppliers, sales and clients, cash management, tangible assets, and personnel.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure thorough examination and evaluation of financial statements and internal controls.
- Assist in drafting cycle memos that contribute to the overall synthesis note, which forms the basis of the auditor's opinion.
- Engage in fieldwork at client sites, allowing you to gain firsthand experience in different business environments and practices.
- Support the preparation of audit documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Contribute to the identification of areas for improvement within client operations, providing valuable insights to enhance their financial practices.
- Participate in client meetings, fostering strong relationships and understanding client needs and expectations.
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in regulations that may impact audit processes and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex client issues and deliver comprehensive audit solutions.
- Take part in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in auditing and finance.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a DSCG or Master CCA degree, with a focus on accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management through internships or work-study programs is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to clients and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- A commitment to professional ethics and integrity, maintaining confidentiality in all client matters.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, Sage, or similar tools.
- Understanding of French accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience in conducting audits in various sectors, which would be advantageous.
