What you'll do
- Oversee the comprehensive performance of your region, ensuring sales targets are met while driving productivity and fostering sustainable growth.
- Set the strategic vision for sales operations and lead initiatives directly from the field to ensure alignment with market needs.
- Maintain exceptional standards within your region by developing and managing a robust sales infrastructure.
- Formulate and implement territory strategies that support the livelihoods of agents, emphasizing data-driven execution and purpose-oriented leadership.
- Supervise a team of 12 Sales Executives across 21 territories, focusing on enhancing management capabilities and broadening market outreach.
- Forge and nurture partnerships with local authorities and community stakeholders to expand clusters and identify new market opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and sales data to inform strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in field sales leadership roles.
- At least 4 years of experience in managing other managers within a high-volume, field-based environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large teams spread across multiple geographical regions.
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is required.
Nice to have
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in sectors such as fintech, financial services, telecommunications, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) with a focus on extensive field sales or agent/distributor networks.
- Familiarity with community engagement strategies and local market dynamics.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making to effectively allocate territories and deploy resources.
- Strong risk management abilities and adept problem-solving skills.
- Capable of developing leadership skills within your team and planning for succession.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools to track performance metrics.
