About the role
You architect and validate high-speed FPGA systems that enable cellular connectivity from space. Your work moves from lab simulation to orbit on Lynk payload prototypes.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.

What you'll do
High-speed FPGA systems for satellite communication are designed and tested to meet mission requirements.
Digital signal processing algorithms are modeled and implemented in RTL or AMD AIE/AIE-ML processors to satisfy link performance.
Verification and validation methods are designed and maintained to ensure successful testing of hardware and firmware.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required.
At least five years of recent related experience is required for this role.
At least three years of recent experience working with Xilinx/Altera FPGAs is required.
Proficiency in at least one of the following is required: SystemVerilog programming, AMD Versal SoC programming, or AIE-ML or AIE programming using intrinsics.
Experience with timing closure for high utilization FPGA builds is required.
Experience with FPGA SoCs and Bare Metal or Petalinux design flows is required.
Experience with UVM or hardware in the loop testing methodologies is required.
Experience with RFICs and multi chip synchronization is required.
Experience with high-speed interfaces such as JESD204C and high speed Ethernet is required.
Knowledge of the physical layer of cellular standards such as GSM, LTE, and 5G is a plus.
