You are expected to exercise ownership over the full data lifecycle, from initial compilation through to rigorous quality assurance and quality control. What you'll do
- Lead and execute geological components of field campaigns, including regional reconnaissance, systematic surface sampling, and support for drilling programs while adhering to strict HSE protocols.
- Champion the integrity of our geological databases by performing comprehensive data compilation, meticulous QA/QC checks, and meticulous documentation to safeguard dataset accuracy.
- Provide direct support to senior geologists in the interpretation of geological data, contributing to the design of field campaigns, technical reporting, and the creation of precise GIS maps.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and AI engineers to test and refine our proprietary AI platform, ensuring digital tools remain grounded in practical field geology and evolving project needs.
- Prepare high-quality technical summaries, visualizations, and maps that clearly communicate project status, geological models, and exploration targets to internal stakeholders and partners.
- Manage and structure complex geological datasets, ensuring they are organized, traceable, and readily accessible for analysis and model training.
- Assist in the evaluation of exploration projects, synthesizing geological, geochemical, and geophysical information to support resource assessments and target validation.
- Act as a point of contact for field teams, helping to resolve geological challenges that arise during sampling and core logging activities in diverse field environments.
- Drive the implementation of standardized workflows for data entry and mapping, promoting consistency and efficiency across all active projects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our exploration methodology, identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies and best practices into daily operations.
- Support the preparation of client-facing materials and technical documentation that highlight the scientific robustness of our approach.
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, helping to disseminate insights from field campaigns and emerging project learnings.
- Maintain up-to-date records of field activities, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and corporate standards for transparency and auditability.
- Work proactively to anticipate geological risks and opportunities, feeding findings into broader project strategy discussions.
- Engage with the broader team to ensure alignment between field execution, data management, and AI model development objectives.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Geology or Earth Sciences with a strong grounding in metallogeny, structural geology, or geochemistry.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mineral exploration geology within a resource sector context.
- Have demonstrable first significant field exposure, including mapping, sampling, or core logging, in challenging geological settings.
- Show willingness to spend significant time in the field as required by project timelines and remote operating conditions.
- Exhibit a data-driven and rigorous approach, with proven ability in data management, QA/QC procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
- Demonstrate fluency in English, with proven capability to communicate effectively in international professional environments and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Be proficient in the use of GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS, and familiarity with geological modeling tools is considered an advantage.
- Hold a valid Driver's License (Permis B), which is regarded as a practical bonus for role-related logistics.
- Display a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance in all field and office activities.
