Manager / Senior Manager, Enterprise GTM, Life Sciences
Job description
About the role
We are seeking an Enterprise Account Lead, Life Sciences to define how top 20 pharma and leading biotech companies engage with the world's first platform for scientific superintelligence. You will be a foundational member of the team responsible for building and scaling our enterprise sales organization and driving deal execution for Lila's AI-driven drug discovery and life sciences platform. As a revenue-focused individual contributor, you will own and grow a portion of our life sciences revenue pipeline, working across technical product, science, GTM, software, robotics, and Physical AI teams to translate our closed-loop AI and autonomous lab capabilities into signed enterprise contracts across target discovery, small molecule, and biologics. You will lead deep, multi-stakeholder engagements with a portfolio of top 20 pharma accounts, and in parallel, open new doors across the biotech ecosystem to build a repeatable mid-market motion. The role demands technical depth, business acumen, an entrepreneurial mindset, and customer-centricity, and it is intentionally shaped to grow with the person who takes it on. In year one, you will work across product and customer strategy, customer technical discovery, sales process design, and account leadership in one of the most technically demanding verticals in enterprise software.
Key facts
What you'll do
You will architect and execute a strategic account plan for a designated portfolio of top 20 pharmaceutical clients, aligning Lila's platform capabilities with enterprise discovery and translational biology objectives. You will orchestrate complex, multi-quarter sales cycles that navigate discovery, translational, platform, data/AI, BD/licensing, and business stakeholders to secure enterprise commitments. You will own end-to-end responsibility for selected pharma accounts, cultivating executive-level relationships across research and development, business development and licensing, and information technology functions while conducting whitespace analysis, expansion initiatives, and renewal planning. You will concurrently prospect and open new doors within the broader biotech ecosystem, sourcing qualified opportunities and shaping a repeatable mid-market motion as the segment matures. You will partner internally with product, science, and leadership teams to scope high-value proof-of-concept engagements, unblock technical inputs, and ensure seamless execution against customer milestones. You will own the technical request for information and due diligence questionnaire response process, routing intricate scientific questions to internal subject matter experts and packaging customer-facing deliverables with precision. You will build, refine, and maintain the revenue pipeline in the CRM, optimize business development tooling, and create a repeatable go-to-market playbook that includes qualification criteria, battle cards, and standardized proposal templates.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, PhD, or equivalent professional experience in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, or adjacent technical fields. You bring 2 to 5 years or more of client-facing experience where you owned outcomes for customers, spanning pharmaceutical business development or alliance management, life sciences strategy consulting, pharma-tech enterprise sales or pre-sales, customer success, or applied scientific roles. You operate effectively and with high comfort in a fast-moving, technical, and cross-functional environment where processes, materials, and the role itself are still being defined and refined. You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills paired with disciplined execution, managing multiple live accounts in parallel with minimal direct oversight. You possess a track record of carrying multi-quarter pursuit efforts where momentum is generated through sustained stakeholder orchestration and the achievement of proof-of-value milestones. You work in a collaborative, low-ego manner, building trust quickly with project managers, scientists, engineers, and product leaders. You are a hands-on user of artificial intelligence tools in your day-to-day workflows and maintain curiosity about how AI and autonomous science will continue to reshape the life sciences industry.
Nice to have
You have working familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning applications within life sciences, including target identification, generative models for molecules and biologics, and predictive ADMET. You have direct exposure to enterprise research and development buying cycles within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, or therapeutic sectors. You have prior experience in frontier AI, whether within SaaS, biotech, robotics, or data-intensive environments, selling into technically sophisticated buyers. You have prior experience as a founder or as an early go-to-market or commercial hire helping to define early processes, playbooks, and marketing collateral. You hold a point of view regarding where artificial intelligence is and is not currently useful within life sciences research and development.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Travel is expected as part of the role, and candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
