Driving Enterprise Growth for Physical Sciences at Lila
Lila Sciences is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Enterprise GTM for Materials to spearhead revenue generation within the physical sciences sector. In this pivotal role, you will own the growth and execution of enterprise revenue streams for our platform, which represents the world's first scientific superintelligence. This position demands a growth-oriented professional who combines deep technical understanding with sharp business judgment to shape customer solutions for energy, manufacturing, and advanced materials leaders. You will be instrumental in defining how these Fortune 500 entities engage with Lila's autonomous lab capabilities and closed-loop AI platform.
This role is a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset and a customer-obsessed approach. You will not only manage high-value deals but also help construct the future of our go-to-market organization. Building and Orchestrating the Enterprise Pipeline
Your primary mission is to build, manage, and expand a high-quality revenue pipeline aligned with clear financial targets. You will take ownership of the entire deal lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification and rigorous qualification through to compelling proposal development, strategic negotiation, and final contract closure. This involves architecting enterprise narratives specifically for R&D leaders, focusing on the catalyst and flow chemistry segments where Lila provides transformative value.
You will lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, engaging across R&D, platform and technology, data and AI, and executive leadership. Success requires coordinating internally with robotics and Physical AI teams to ensure seamless execution and timely progress. A critical part of this role is translating Lila's sophisticated closed-loop AI and autonomous lab capabilities into clear, customer-ready narratives that demonstrate a tangible return on investment. You will design and manage account research workflows and prepare executive-level pitch decks and proposals.
Maintaining precise revenue forecasts and deal records in our CRM will be essential. You will surface key tradeoffs, priorities, and strategic decisions for Lila's leadership team. This includes owning technical Request for Information (RFI) responses and due diligence questionnaires, routing scientific inquiries to internal experts, and packaging polished, professional deliverables. also, you will interpret the AI and ML partnership landscape across physical sciences, translating these insights into actionable implications for Lila's positioning, messaging, and competitive strategy.
Qualifications and Collaborative Excellence
To succeed in this role, you must hold a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD in materials science, physics, chemical engineering, or a closely related domain. You should bring a minimum of two to five years of client-facing experience where you owned outcomes, ideally within business development, enterprise sales, management consulting, customer success, or applied science roles in industrial, energy, or materials sectors.
You must be comfortable thriving in a fast-moving, highly technical, and cross-functional environment where the sales process, product features, and the role itself will continuously evolve. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable, as you will translate dense scientific subject matter into clear narratives for both R&D buyers and procurement teams. You are highly organized and execution-oriented, capable of managing multiple live strategic accounts simultaneously with minimal oversight. A collaborative, low-ego working style is essential to build trust quickly with project managers, scientists, engineers, and product leaders.
Preferred Experience and Strategic Tools
While not mandatory, familiarity with AI and ML applications within physical science contexts is a significant bonus. You will use a suite of tools to execute effectively, including Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Gmail, LinkedIn, and Zoom. This role reports to the Executive leadership team and offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary of $180,000, an on-target earnings potential of $270,000, and equity participation.
