LifeStance Health is the nation's fastest-growing behavioral health practice, committed to improving access to affordable, personalized mental healthcare. We are hiring Psychometrists in the Woodlands, TX area to support licensed psychologists in delivering high-quality psychological and neuropsychological assessments.
This role operates on a full-time schedule with standard business hours to align with patient appointment times. Travel is generally limited to the local Savannah, GA area as the position is based at a single site. There is no international travel required for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship at this time.
What You'll Do
You will play a critical support role within the clinical assessment process, ensuring that psychological and neuropsychological evaluations are conducted smoothly and effectively. Your responsibilities will directly impact the quality of data collected and the patient experience.
Coordinate the preparation and organization of test materials to ensure assessments proceed without delay.
Administer a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological tests according to strict protocol and supervisor guidance.
Score complex assessment instruments with a high level of accuracy and consistency to support clinical decision-making.
Document detailed behavioral observations during testing sessions to provide a clear picture of patient performance.
Prepare concise data summaries that highlight key findings for supervising psychologists to review and interpret.
Maintain testing supplies and electronic records to keep the assessment environment organized and fully functional.
Establish rapport with patients by using clear communication and a supportive demeanor throughout the evaluation process.
Provide limited scheduling support to help coordinate appointment times and reduce barriers to accessing care.
Collaborate effectively with psychologists and other team members to align on patient needs and testing goals.
Adapt testing procedures as needed to accommodate patient comfort and ensure a smooth and ethical assessment experience.
Requirements
To ensure success in this vital role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age to ensure professional maturity and responsibility in a clinical setting.
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent credential as a baseline educational requirement for the role.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to interact clearly with patients and clinical staff.
Have reliable transportation to attend work shifts consistently and arrive on time for all scheduled responsibilities.
Be able to pass a background check to maintain a safe environment for patients and uphold organizational standards.
Be willing to undergo a drug screening as part of the pre-employment process to ensure workplace safety.
Commit to protecting patient confidentiality and adhering to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations.
Show the ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized procedures with precision and dependability.
About the Role
In this role you will partner with supervising psychologists to ensure that psychological and neuropsychological assessments are administered accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of testing materials and documenting behavioral observations in a precise and professional manner. This position is integral to enhancing the quality of assessment data and supporting the diagnostic process. You will play a key role in increasing psychologist capacity and reducing patient wait times. By doing so, you directly contribute to improving access to trusted mental healthcare for the community. You will work closely with diverse patients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the evaluation journey. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to following standardized procedures. Ultimately, your work will help the clinical team deliver faster and more reliable results to those in need.
