What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our users while adhering to best practices in software engineering.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards and maintainability across the codebase.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack, ensuring it remains modern and efficient.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on web technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, with a solid understanding of frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• A passion for education technology and a commitment to improving learning outcomes for students.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile application development (iOS or Android) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Previous experience in an agile development environment, particularly Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
