What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of gaming applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance and scalability, addressing any bottlenecks in the deployment process.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, utilizing various tools to identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact users.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring that our gaming platforms are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Implement configuration management tools to automate system configurations and deployments, reducing manual intervention and errors.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices to safeguard our applications and data from potential threats.
• Work closely with the QA team to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that all code changes are thoroughly vetted before deployment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance our DevOps practices.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback and sharing of ideas.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and grow within the organization.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, preferably within the gaming industry.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby, with a strong understanding of automation tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, with a proven track record of implementing automated deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Previous experience in the gaming industry or with game development processes.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to the gaming industry.
