What you'll do
- Lead the quality assurance team in developing and implementing comprehensive quality management systems that adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of processes and products to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to establish quality benchmarks and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Manage customer complaints and feedback related to product quality, ensuring timely resolution and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that the company's quality practices remain compliant and competitive.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for strategic focus.
- Coordinate with external auditors during quality assessments and certifications, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence are readily available.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from clients and regulatory bodies, representing the company's commitment to quality excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or assurance, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards such as ISO 9001.
- Proven experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions based on findings.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the industry, such as FDA or ISO standards.
- Previous experience working in a multicultural environment or with international teams.
