As a Senior PLC Programmer at It8, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of automated control systems for various industrial applications. • Develop and implement PLC programs for a variety of industrial automation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLC software to ensure reliability and performance in real-world applications.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and system designers to integrate PLCs with other control systems and hardware components.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing PLC systems, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
• Strong knowledge of various PLC brands, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider Electric.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems, including configuration and integration with PLCs.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets project deadlines.
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites for project implementation and support.

Nice to have

• Certification in PLC programming or automation from a recognized institution.
• Experience with advanced automation technologies, such as robotics or machine vision systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they apply to industrial control systems.

Skills & tools

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and making informed decisions.
