About the role
As a Senior PLC Programmer at It8, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of automated control systems for various industrial applications. This position requires a deep understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their integration into complex manufacturing processes. What you'll do
- Develop and implement PLC programs for a variety of industrial automation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLC software to ensure reliability and performance in real-world applications.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing PLC systems, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.

- Assist in the development of project proposals and cost estimates, providing technical insights to support business development efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the programming and implementation processes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific automation needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance post-implementation, making adjustments as necessary to optimize functionality and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
- Strong knowledge of various PLC brands, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider Electric.
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems, including configuration and integration with PLCs.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets project deadlines.
- Ability to travel occasionally to client sites for project implementation and support.
Nice to have
- Certification in PLC programming or automation from a recognized institution.
