About the role

Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EMD Analyst to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This contract position is ideal for individuals who are about data analysis and are eager to contribute to the success of our projects. As an EMD Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and interpreting data to support decision-making processes within the organization. What you'll do

Conduct comprehensive analyses of data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that data insights align with business objectives.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
statistical methods and tools to analyze complex datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.
Assist in the design and implementation of data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Present analytical findings to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, translating complex data into actionable insights.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on data-driven strategies and solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis to enhance the effectiveness of analytical processes.
Support the development of training materials and documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance data analysis workflows.
Engage in ad-hoc analysis as requested by management to support various business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in creating data visualizations and reports that clearly present analytical insights.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Experience in the healthcare or financial services industry, providing context to data analysis efforts.
Understanding of data governance and compliance standards to ensure data security and integrity.

Skills & tools

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data analysis methodologies and tools. Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, SQL for database querying, and statistical software such as R or Python is essential.
