About the role
You will design and protect the pipelines that move critical army software from initial commit to production deployment. Your primary responsibility is to build and maintain secure workflows that govern how code and infrastructure are delivered across sensitive defense systems. You will operate within highly regulated environments where compliance and auditability are non negotiable requirements of every task. This position demands a high degree of operational discipline and strict adherence to established military standard processes. You will act as a technical guardian ensuring that security is embedded into each phase of the software lifecycle. Your work will directly support the integrity and reliability of systems used in national defense contexts. You will collaborate closely with engineering and security stakeholders to resolve complex workflow and infrastructure challenges.

What you'll do
Define precise entry points for source code and configuration files before they enter the integration pipeline.
Build container images using Docker while adhering strictly to procedural rules and security baselines.
Manage cluster schedules and resource allocation within dedicated Kubernetes infrastructure.
Inspect source code for security risks and quality issues before it progresses further through the workflow.
Check infrastructure definitions with automated tools to catch configuration problems before deployment.
Work with allied defense groups to standardize tools and practices across ongoing defense initiatives.
Create immutable records and audit trails for every modification across the end to end workflow timeline.
Confirm that builds meet access control and compliance standards prior to any release to production.
Automate repetitive security checks to reduce manual effort and increase reliability of pipeline stages.
Monitor pipeline performance and provide feedback to improve stability, speed, and security outcomes.
Validate environment configurations to ensure they align with defense infrastructure requirements and policies.
Support the implementation of identity and access management controls for software artifacts and repositories.
Assist in the evaluation and integration of new DevSecOps tools that align with army operational needs.
Document processes and configurations to ensure continuity and clarity for future engineering activities.
Contribute to the refinement of security policies that govern software delivery in regulated contexts.
Requirements
You must possess a degree in a relevant discipline as specified in the eligibility criteria.
You need hands on experience scripting and automating tasks using Python for operational workflows.
You should comprehend the mechanics of continuous integration and continuous delivery systems in depth.
You must understand container execution principles and how scheduling works in orchestration platforms.
You need knowledge of managing cluster operations, including maintenance and monitoring routines.
You must be available for the entire 75 day internship duration without any break or absence.
You should have practical exposure to DevSecOps concepts and a demonstrated interest in defense technology.
You must successfully complete security screening and police verification before commencing work.
You must be able to work within the defined working hours and adhere to institutional protocols.
You should have a strong sense of responsibility regarding data protection and operational confidentiality.

Practical notes
Working hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the designated facility in Delhi.
Stipend is paid after successful completion of the internship, and under 75 percent attendance renders the candidate ineligible.
Police verification is mandatory and must be completed before joining the internship.
Accommodation is not provided for interns under this program.
Personal smartphones and laptops are restricted on premises; company workstations are provided for all tasks.
