Email Automation & QA Specialist
Job description
About the role
Imprint helps the world's best brands grow the lifetime value of their customers. We started with co-branded credit cards and rebuilt them to be smarter, more rewarding, and brand-first. We partner with companies like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com http://Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell to launch modern credit programs that deepen loyalty, unlock savings, and drive growth. But the card is just the beginning. We combine advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and deep customer data to create delightful and personalized experiences for members as well as efficient and profitable relationships for our brand partners. Our robust technology and world-class operations allow us and our brand partners to offer powerful financial products without becoming a bank.
In the U.S., co-branded cards alone account for over $300 billion in annual spend, and most still run on decades-old legacy bank systems. Imprint is the modern alternative: flexible, embeddable, and built for how people actually pay today. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, Ribbit, and Khosla Ventures, we're building a world-class team to redefine how people pay and how brands grow. If you want to move fast, solve hard problems, and own real outcomes, we want to meet you.
Our Marketing Design team builds and maintains the design systems behind a growing portfolio of partner brands - across email, web, in-app, paid, and print. Email is at the center of how we communicate with cardholders, and doing it well at scale requires both a reliable production engine and a high-quality validation layer. We are looking for an Email Automation & QA Specialist who thrives at the intersection of content, systems, code, and quality. You will own the end-to-end integrity of our email production pipeline, from templating and automation to rigorous quality assurance. You will build AI-augmented workflows that speed production while implementing an AI-first validation layer that catches errors before human review. You will partner closely with design and lifecycle teams to ensure every email that reaches our members is accurate, compliant, and technically sound. This role is critical to scaling our email operations without sacrificing precision or reliability.
What you'll do
- Assemble new email templates from already-developed components in Braze, ensuring the final output matches the original Figma source and approved copy.
- Build, update, and maintain reusable content blocks and catalog entries across our partner programs, keeping structure consistent and modular.
- Manage content accuracy, localization, and versioning across a growing library of partner templates, ensuring every language variant is complete and correct.
- Partner with the design technologist to flag structural or component issues and improve the underlying system for long-term stability.
- Build and iterate on AI-assisted workflows that convert Figma designs and copy into the content structures used to power reusable, dynamic templates in Braze.
- Design and implement an AI QA checklist that runs before human review, covering link and UTM validation, Liquid variable presence, localization completeness, dark mode considerations, and compliance string presence.
- Maintain QA tooling outputs such as logs, check reports, and tracked issues so QA is repeatable, measurable, and auditable over time.
- Conduct end-to-end human QA on every email before it reaches the lifecycle team, including proofreading, link validation, rendering checks across clients and dark mode, and dynamic content verification.
- Run inbox testing and document or resolve issues prior to deployment, and continually improve the checklist based on patterns found in escaped defects.
- Create lightweight tools, scripts, and prompts that standardize repetitive tasks and improve QA quality across the team.
- Own documentation, versioning, and ongoing maintenance of automations as components, partner programs, and requirements evolve.
- Support Marketing Ops and Lifecycle with campaign and canvas builds by providing ready content catalogs and thoroughly validated templates in Braze.
- Manage content setup, dynamic content logic, and final QA to ensure accurate and timely launches with minimal manual rework.
- Maintain and update existing campaigns as partner programs evolve, handling offer swaps, compliance edits, and copy updates with automation where possible and careful review always.
- Generate, manage, and QA campaign links, ensuring all UTM tracking is accurate and functioning correctly across channels.
- Work with Branch.io or similar deep linking platforms to set up and validate deep links used in email campaigns.
- Build automated checks to catch common tracking issues before launch, such as broken links, missing UTM parameters, wrong destinations, and mismatched deep links.
- Troubleshoot and make updates to HTML and Liquid code within existing email templates, working within established patterns and guardrails to avoid regression.
- Maintain a working knowledge of email rendering behaviors across major clients and devices, using this insight to improve templates and QA coverage.
- Contribute to the long-term roadmap for email quality and automation, proposing improvements that scale reliably as the business grows.
Requirements
- You are eligible for roles that require strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured content systems.
- You have experience reading, interpreting, and translating design files into functional email templates.
- You understand how emails are assembled in Braze, including templates, catalogs, content blocks, Liquid, localization, and tracking.
- You are comfortable working with HTML and Liquid to make safe updates within established patterns and guardrails.
- You have a methodical approach to quality, with a proven ability to build checklists and own the final human review step.
- You are able to partner with design and engineering to surface system issues and advocate for improvements.
- You are comfortable using AI tools to assist in content assembly and to build automation that improves production reliability.
- You are able to manage multiple partner programs and prioritize work across evolving requirements without losing accuracy.
