About the role
Become a key member of Illumio's Engineering team, where you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our multi-cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in the design and deployment of new services, ensuring they transition seamlessly from development to production. Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect, deploy, and sustain cloud infrastructure solutions across platforms like Azure, AWS, and/or GCP tailored for our applications.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies with tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation to automate provisioning processes.
- Create and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for software delivery automation, leveraging Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
- Continuously monitor system performance, application health, and infrastructure metrics, taking proactive steps to enhance optimization.
- Participate in incident response efforts, perform root cause analyses, and document findings in post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to develop scalable and reliable architectures, providing insights into cloud-native development practices.
- Enforce security best practices and controls within cloud environments to safeguard data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead automation projects aimed at streamlining operational tasks and boosting efficiency in cloud operations.
- Keep abreast of updates in cloud platforms and emerging technologies to foster innovation within the team.
- Mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 2 years in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with practical experience in Azure cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Go for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies, containerization technologies, and microservices architecture in cloud settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Developer) or certifications from AWS/GCP.
